Scope of work

Downer needs to install two new 11KV cables in 150mm ducts to connect the new substation on Custom House Quay, one of the busiest streets in Wellington.

Solution

Marais Laying NZ offered to use its experienced team with the help of our 10t & 3t excavator and Class 4 Trucks to trench and install the new ducts.

To haul the two new 11KV cables, we used our hauling gear (cable truck/winch/frame etc.)

Marais has designed and been providing its own traffic management for the duration of the project.

Results

Marais Laying NZ has been installing 200 meters of new trench with 3*150 mmp, hauling 400m of new 11KV cable.
