Quarry conference New Zealand 2025 - Marais Laying NZ

We’re proud to be part of the Quarry New Zealand Conference 2025, held in Hamilton from 9 to 11 July.

This year’s theme, “The Future is Now: Empowering the Next Generation of Quarry Professionals”, aligns perfectly with our purpose at Marais Laying NZ: helping the quarrying sector work smarter, safer and more sustainably.

As part of the Tesmec Group, we’ll be highlighting the potential of the Tesmec surface miners, including the 1150 EVO Dynamic Drive, a next-generation surface miner that is already transforming extraction practices in Aotearoa.

Designed with both performance and sustainability in mind, this machine can:

  • Boost productivity by up to 60%

  • Reduce the need for blasting

  • Minimise dust, vibration and disruption

  • Lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

The 1150 EVO has already demonstrated its efficiency on projects like the Harapaki Wind Farm and in Canterbury quarries, where it's delivering real, measurable results. We’re looking forward to sharing insights from these projects and discussing how surface mining could support your future operations.

Come visit us at Booth 65 to explore how this technology is helping address some of the biggest challenges facing the quarrying sector, from labour shortages to environmental compliance.

Whether you're managing a site, planning a project, or simply curious about the latest innovations, our team will be on hand for a good kōrero.
