A new Gold standard, again
For the third year in a row, we’re proud to announce that Marais Laying NZ has renewed its SiteWise Gold certification, with a 100% score. This certification reflects not only the robustness of our health and safety systems, but more importantly, the daily commitment of our crews on the ground.
In the words of SiteWise, “Gold means you have demonstrated exceptional quality health and safety systems in place.” But for us, this isn’t just about ticking boxes: it’s about people, values, and the way we operate.
Safety isn’t a document. It’s a culture.
At Marais NZ, safety is woven into everything we do. Whether we’re trenching on an active runway, installing high-voltage cables in urban areas, or working on steep slopes in remote regions, our approach remains the same: anticipate, prevent, and adapt.
What makes the difference on site isn’t just our certified systems. It’s the mindset. Every member of our team knows that safety is a shared responsibility. We train, we plan, we double-check. And we speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
Why SiteWise Gold matters
In the New Zealand construction and infrastructure sector, SiteWise is more than a logo, it’s a trusted benchmark. For our clients, it’s a guarantee of quality and reliability. For our partners and subcontractors, it’s a sign that they’re entering a site where risks are managed, and people are valued.
But the real value lies in what it enables: more efficient projects, fewer incidents, and better outcomes for everyone.
Looking ahead
Certifications like SiteWise Gold are earned, not given. Maintaining this level of excellence requires continuous improvement, and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for.
As our projects grow in scale and complexity, from wind farms to airport upgrades, we’ll continue investing in safety innovation, training and technology. Because building the networks of tomorrow starts with protecting the people building them.
